GS Lab has always been a strong believer in assembling a team through referrals but nowhere is it more conspicuously visible than its management team! Here is the story.

Sunil and Shridhar have been very close friends since the eighth standard (eighth grade for the US readers) where they attended the same high school, Balmohan Vidyamandir, in Mumbai. While they went to different universities to get their basic and advanced engineering education, they never lost touch even when email was not commonplace (people wrote letters in those dark ages!). While they had never worked together before GS Lab, it seemed inevitable and GS Lab was founded.

Atul was looking to join a team with a vision and interesting challenges. His friends from IIT Bombay put him in touch with Shridhar, also an IIT Bombay alumnus, about ten years senior. The connection was instant and Atul signed up to come on board at GS Lab a month after it was founded.

Ajit had a stellar career in the Indian Air Force flying fighter planes and training other pilots. Thanks to postings in remote border areas, he lost touch with his childhood friends, Sunil and Shridhar. When they reconnected, however, it was as though nothing had changed. It seemed only natural to have Ajit lead the operations at GS Lab air force style!

The GS Lab Management team is all former friends or close associates from past life. This network extends deeper among the rest of GS Lab colleagues. That helps a lot to tackle issues head-on throughout the Company and, we believe, that is a significant strength for us going forward.
