Recognition
Organizations all around the world recognize those who do well through promotions, responsibilities raises, stock options, and bonuses. And GS Lab is no exception. However, we recognize that there is nothing more satisfying than to be appreciated publicly by one’s colleagues. This is the motivation behind two unique recognition programs at GS Lab.
GS Lab’s Star Award recognizes one star employee colleague once every quarter. The award is given to one of the individuals nominated. Typically, the “star” of the quarter will have made the most significant contribution to GS Lab’s operations through exceptional and sustained effort toward accomplishment of our mission in that quarter. Some of the specific objectives of the Star award are:
| To publicly recognize and appreciate the colleague who shows excellence through an action beyond the call of duty, | |
| To encourage and reinforce excellence and achievement throughout GS Lab, and | |
| To build and enhance team spirit by giving each colleague an opportunity to appreciate your colleagues. |
GS Lab’s Exemplar Awards recognize one exemplary employee colleague every month in each of the six operational units. A single individual is selected in each of these units for the most exemplary practice of the theme of the month. The theme for each month is set by rotation from the effective habits that GS Lab employees value the most among colleagues. Typically, the “exemplar” of the month will have not only assimilated the habit-of-the-month in her daily work but will also have excelled at it and in the process become an ambassador and promoter of the habit among colleagues.
