Case Studies

GS Lab’s customers are essentially product team managers and architects. For them, the product and its success are of paramount importance. We always appreciate that GS Lab being the chosen outsourcing partner implies significant and unique responsibility. GS Lab therefore adapts itself for the working styles and processes of each customer.

We strongly recommend that our prospective customers go through the various experiences documented in our case studies. We highlight the following factors through these experiences.

Project overview – Each customer, each product, and each release offers its unique challenges. We first establish the context of the experience.
Technology fit – The delivery processes, the unique challenges of the domain, and its fit with GS Lab’s prior experience are brought out.
Delivery issues – The stage at which GS Lab begins work with a product is different of each product. This requires us to recognize and make the relative trade-off’s related to speed of response, freedom to make defect fixes, make design changes, and regression efforts. We have documented them via these case studies.
Operational processes – As GS Lab’s responsibilities and team sizes change, our engineer’s responsibilities shift. We, along with appropriate people on the customer side, make the required changes in how we run the team.
Value for money – The economic realities and compulsions at the time of each release are different for our customers. We require that the team leads at GS Lab talk about them and incorporate their knowledge in local decision-making. We fully recognize that each team is only as good as the quality and timeliness of the last release made, regardless of the past history!
GS Lab’s learning – GS Lab ensures that each team has sufficient leadership and experience to draw on. However, there is always something new for us to learn. It will be instructive for you to find out what we learn in each project.

We invite you to read our experiences and let us know what you think.
