Example: Retrieval of information from one system and entering the same information into another system or activating another system function. In case human judgment is required, it may need considering a work flow to route, track and support the work flow. Also, RPA works best when there are a low number of exceptions in the workflow.

  • Can change to the underlying technology or system solve the business problem?

After answering the question as mentioned above from 1-4, you would be in a situation to determine if RPA is a right fit or not; the final step is to make sure that there is no better way i.e. by replacing/changing the underlying technology or system to solve the problem at the source/root level.
