An AdTech company builds a cloud platform for running hyper-scale applications with low network latency and high throughput
Overview –
Internet advertising revenues have surpassed those of cable television and nearly exceeded those of the broadcast television.It is a channel by which ads get displayed to the defined target audience, and advertisers get charged on a pay per click model, via instantaneous programmatic auction, similar to financial markets. This whole process of buying and selling of ads happens in a fraction of a millisecond. An online advertising technology firm based out of the USA required building a cloud platform for rapidly developing and running hyper-scale applications supporting the advertisement industry.
Challenge –
To achieve such high frequency and latency the ad processing and serving applications are required to run on sophisticated high-end infrastructure. Also there was a upper resource cost incurred to support custom modifications to the application.
Solution –
Considering the requirements to facilitate the platform with hyper-scale applications, the GS Lab team build a custom cloud that could handle hyper applications with low network latency and high throughput was of required
We built Cloud with a combination of virtual and metal service to achieve hardware throughput for specific applications. This enabled us to plan performance for capacity and support parallel data computations.
As a result, platform is highly scalable and performance testing showed 2x better results as compared to other cloud service providers with similar configuration
